Until then, you’ll have to deal with classic Norsca marauder horsemen spam. Creative Assembly say they’ll be added in at a later date. New-Norsca will also be missing from Mortal Empires for a bit. Old World powers are not getting Rites (at least, not at launch). A lot of the features from Total War: Warhammer 2 will be present in this mega-campaign the settlement climate system (so you can, in theory, conquer anywhere), searchable ruins, treasures at sea, and so on. If you own DLC like, say, Beastmen, then they will be playable in Mortal Empires. You need both games to be able to play this ( Warhammer 2 installed, Warhammer just owned on Steam). It’s not a literal combination of the maps from Total War: Warhammer and the sequel, but the majority of those land-masses are going to be present. If you’ve missed the news about what this is, on 26 October Total War: Warhammer 2 is getting a campaign that will unite New and Old World powers. People who know what Mortal Empires is about can scroll straight to that map. You can see it below (click for a much larger version) it includes the starting locations for all Legendary Lords. The Total War: Warhammer series is considered to be the best for both Total War and Warhammer fans, and if Immortal Empires is able to deliver, it will no doubt be one of the greatest titles for strategy game fans.No more need to squint at Total War: Warhammer 2 mini-maps in Steam screenshots, the full Mortal Empires campaign map is now available. The Warhammer brand looks to be making a big impact in games, with Warhammer 40K: Darktide causing waves with its showcase earlier this month.

If Immortal Empires is able to live up to the scale and world-spanning conflict that Moral Empires brought players, it can definitely bring Total War: Warhammer III back with a vengeance. Creative Assembly is also looking to make changes and improvements based off player experience for years to come, evolving The Immortal Empires campaign with dedicated feedback and attention to popular community boards like the Total War subreddit. The team promises a massive overhaul of what players experienced in previous Warhammer games, with updates to models, UI, and VFX for the previous games' characters.

Creative Assembly has been clear that when the campaign drops in August, it will be as a beta.
